QUJAKU release new 250 limited 12 inch single, 'Ruiteggaakupanshi' on 20th September 2024 and confirm new UK tour

QUJAKU will release a brand new 250 limited single, ‘Ruiteggaakupanshi’, for the first time in 5 years from So I Buried Records on 20th September 2024 when their forthcoming UK tour starts. The new 12 inch single, which is a follow-up to acclaimed ‘In Neutral’ EP released in 2019, contains 3 new tracks, ‘Ruiteggaakupanshi’, ‘Keisha Shita Heya De’ and ‘Kodoku Na Yume, Ai No Hito’.

To celebrate the release of the single, the band will have a new UK tour starting from the release date, 20th September 2024, and visit 9 cities across the country including two festival appearances, Fat Out Fest and Glastonbury Psychfest, and two solo performances.

大石裕美デビューソロEPリリースに伴い、 PCゲームアートとコラボ、及びレコ発イベント決定

大石裕美のデビューソロEP、「葡萄と山吹」リリースに伴い、マルチメディアアーティストのヒデキ カンノが自身で開発・作成したPCゲームアート、「Shore」とコラボレーション、また、EPの発売日である12月5日（土）に東京都上野にあるアートギャラリー、「みんなのギャラリー」にて10人限定のレコ発イベントを行います。

「Shore」とは「目的のないゲーム」がコンセプトとなっており、このゲームには文字通りゴールが無く、プレイヤーは舞台となっているある南の島を好きなように歩き回ります。ゲーム内の時間は現実世界とリンクしており、昼にプレイすればゲーム内も昼、夜にプレイすればゲーム内も夜に設定されております。

プレイヤーがゲーム内で宿泊しているホテル内の一角にはバーがあり、そのバー内のステージでポリゴン化した大石裕美がEPに収録されている楽曲を11月1日（日）から１週間毎に１曲ずつ指定された時間帯に演奏し、プレミア公開していきます。

Collaboration with PC game art and EP launch party in Tokyo confirmed to celebrate release of Hiromi Oishi’s debut solo EP

To celebrate the release of “Budou To Yamabuki”, the debut solo EP by Hiromi Oishi, a collaboration with a PC game art called “Shore” developed and created by a Japanese media artist, Hideki Kanno, and a super-limited EP launch party at Minnano Gallery in Tokyo on 5th December 2020 have been confirmed.

The concept of “Shore” is “a game without any purposes”. As the concept says, there are not any goals in the game and the player walks around a tropical island as he/she likes. The time in the game links to the time in the real world, if the user plays it in the daytime, it is in the daytime in the game too, and if the user plays it in the nighttime, it is in the nighttime in the game too.

There is a bar in the hotel where the player is staying in the game and polygonised Hiromi Oishi will play the songs in the EP on the stage in the bar, premiering one song every week from 1st November 2020.

I am fascinated by coexistence, evolution and altruism. My artwork explores the conditions of living things that share limited space and resources in a peaceful way. The foundation of my artwork is build on scientific methods like investigation and observation. Those methods support my theories about life, enabling my artwork to shift from an imaginary state to a state of reality. I recreate coexisting and evolving environments in interactive multimedia installations, using technologies, such as electronic and motor engineering and computer programming.

Hiromi Oishi, the bassist of a Hamamatsu-based Japanese psychedelic band, QUJAKU, will release her debut solo 200 limited EP, “Budou To Yamabuki”, from So I Buried Records on 5th December 2020. She has played the piano since she was 5 years old and all the track in the 10 inch EP, which contains 2 tracks in each side, are her solo piano songs.

AKATOMBO releases 200 limited edition album, “Discordia 2003-2020”, on 25th May

AKATOMBO, a musical project by Paul T. Kirk, a Japan-based Scottish musician/ producer/ film-maker/ photographer, will release a brand new 200 limited album, “Discordia 2003-2020”, from So I Buried Records on 25th May 2020. WATCH IMPATV’S MUSIC VIDEO FOR NEW QUJAKU SONG “IN NEUTRAL”

OUTLANDS experimental music touring network present an original audio-visual collaboration between Japanese psych band Qujaku and UK visual artists IMPATV.

Developed during a residency in Japan in June 2019, this new production explores ideas of duality.  Sound triggers light that in turn creates form via an amalgam of heavy, rhythmic ambience combined with visual projections, lighting and stage design.  The resulting union will unfurl as an expansive spectacle to stimulate the senses.

Special guests group A open each night of the tour with a spectacular new AV set.

Ensō - a circular symbol hand-drawn in one or two uninhibited brushstrokes to express a moment when the mind is free to let the body create.

Sone - a unit of loudness; how loud a sound is perceived.

Ensō Sone expresses a freedom to create loudness, which marks the starting point for this exciting new collaboration. Further ideas from Japanese Zen practice; of oneness, natural opposites and equilibrium, the spirit of harmonious cooperation, the visible and the invisible, absolute fullness in emptiness, simplicity, completeness, and endlessness are explored.

The tour includes special guests electronic, industrial act group A (now the solo project of Tommi Tokyo) who in turn collaborate with Berlin based visual artist DEAD SLOW AHEAD on a new multi-dimensional video universe, opening the gate to the inside-self, mixing slow ethereal abstract sounds with mind-shattering stroboscopic video pulsations, designed to challenge the observers’ expectations of AV work.

As with all OUTLANDS tours, there will be an accompanying workshop to shine a light on the artistic processes behind the production. IMPATV will host an experimental video workshop prior to the ENSÕ SONE shows, exploring some of the techniques they use to create their videos and visual work, using a variety of new and outdated technologies. Formed in 2013, QUJAKU are a Japanese heavy psychedelic rock band based in Shizuoka. Their dark, heavy psychedelia is replete with rich distortion and feedback creating a unique decadent ambience. The apocalyptic sound they muster fuels an urge to release from the everyday to discover an ephemeral beauty behind the fierceness. The delicate yet strong leading voice, filled with destructive guitar, repetitive rhythmic percussion, and deep, bellowing bass combine to create Qujaku's unique sound atmosphere to preoccupy the mind and enhance the experience.

GROUP A - DEAD SLOW AHEAD

group A present a mix of synth heavy minimal wave, avant noise, striking visuals and performance art that carries the very breath of early industrial pioneers such as Throbbing Gristle or Cabaret Voltaire. Their early shows came as a shock to most spectators, non-stop waves of experimental noise, intensely emotional poetry readings and nude live-paintings. As the violinist Sayaka goes on a long hiatus, group A is evolving, currently the solo project of Tommi Tokyo, she continues to collaborate with Berlin based visual artist DEAD SLOW AHEAD for live A/V performances. The work of DEAD SLOW AHEAD centres around erratic geometry, slow strobe destruction, and negation of the visual comfort zone.

QUJAKU will release a brand new 200 limited EP, “In Neutral”, from So I Buried Records on 26th July 2019, when their forthcoming mini Europe tour starts (see below). The 10 inch EP contains 2 long-length tracks, “In Neutral” on the side A and “Gloria” on the side B.

Their expanding psychedelia has been upgraded to the cutting edge. The minimal beat and brutal noise the band creates take you to another dimension.

QUJAKU release new 500 limited edition LP, “QUJAKU” and confirm new Europe tour

QUJAKU will release their first 500 limited album, “QUJAKU”, in the name of QUJAKU from So I Buried Records on 16th August 2018, when their forthcoming Europe tour starts (see below). The album contains 9 tracks including a song released in the name of their former name, The Piqnic, and will be released on double 12 inch vinyl.

The originality growing every release even grows dramatically in this album, and becomes bewitching and insane deep-roaring-psychedelia that contains the brutality corresponding the heavy bass sound smashing the brain and the solemnity like hymns combining with the nostalgia like pastorals.

Also, it has been confirmed that the band will have a new Europe tour to celebrate the release of the album. The tour contains 20 shows in 6 countries, including two festival appearances, Nox Orae Festival in Switzerland and HUB Festival in Cardiff.

QUJAKU are a Japanese psychedelic band formed in 2013 and based in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka. Violent but delicate melody and heavy but stable rhythm remind you Japanese underground legends such as Keiji Haino and Les Rallizes Denudes, the insane dark deep heavy roaring sound containing gothic elements at the same time leads you to the utopia, the deep psychedelia opening the third eye. The band released a debut album, “ZyouK”, in 2015 and toured the UK, Germany and Hungary, followed by a release of an EP, “KEIREN”, and a UK tour in 2016. In 2017, they released an EP, “H” and had their biggest ever Europe tour with 26 shows in 5 countries, including three music festival appearances at Fat Out Fest, Focus Wales and Raw Power. In October 2017, they released a latest EP, “S”.

横浜、黄金町にあるアートスタジオ、旧劇場にて行なってきたUntitled Roomですが、今回初めて会場が変わります。

今回の会場は上野にあるアートギャラリー、みんなのギャラリー。

当会場にて4/12-4/22の期間に開催される、qujakuのアー写等を撮影してもらっている写真家、加藤甫君の写真展、"qujaku"、名前の通りqujakuの写真の展覧会になり、開催期間の4/15にUntitled Room特別版としてqujakuのメンバーが各々ソロパフォーマンスを行います（ドラムのHABUTOは会場の音量制限の問題の為、出演しません）。

展示される主な写真は2016年にSo I Buried Recordsから発売された"KEIREN" EPのリリース時に開催されたUKツアーでのライブ写真、オフショット、海外ツアーでしか見れないメンバーの貴重な姿をご覧になれます。

イベント当日も会場内で展示されているqujakuの写真を観覧する事は可能です。

今回の写真展では初出しの写真ばかりですし、qujakuメンバーのソロを東京で一度に観れるチャンスもなかなかありません、この機会に是非。

静岡県浜松市を拠点に活動する2013年結成のサイケデリックバンド。暴力的であり繊細なメロディー、重厚であり安定したリズムは灰野敬二や裸のラリーズを彷彿させ、同時にゴシック性を併せ持つ彼らの狂気的暗黒重低轟音はユートピアへ先導する、白眼開眼ディープサイケデリア。2015年10月にデビューアルバム、「ZyouK」をリリース、イギリス、ドイツ、ハンガリーの3カ国にて全10公演のヨーロッパツアー、2016年5月にはEP、「KEIREN」をリリースし、2つの音楽フェスを含む全6公演のUKツアーを敢行する。2017年4月にEP「H」のリリース、そのリリースに伴いバンド史上最大規模の5カ国26公演のヨーロッパツアーを4月～5月に行い、成功させた。10月にはバンドの最新作であるEP、「S」をリリース。
